Patrick Okabe, the Parliament Member for Serere Region, has passed on in a street Accident, according to reports.

Monday, Okabe's Land Cruiser with the registration UBK 995F collided head-on with a trailer at Naboa in the Budaka district.
The accident's cause is still unknown.
However, photos taken by witnesses show that the cargo truck smashed into the car of the parliamentarian from the ruling NRM party.
Victor Wanyama, a boda rider in Budaka who is 25 years old, stated that ,The MP died on spot.
Over the past five years, road accidents have increased in Uganda.
According to the Works Minister, Gen. Katumba Wamala, in 2021 and 2020, nearly 10,000 died in road accidents.
Gordon Bafaki, a former Kazo MP, died in a road accident in Kampala in June along the Northern bypass.
Jacob Oulanya, Parliament's speaker, died of cancer earlier this year.
